Sites of reverence abound in Southwest Florida, some more obvious than others. On this tour, led by historian Dave Bredimus, we’ll explore several sites deemed sacred by one of the many groups of people who populate Southwest Florida.

 
 

Some sites are sacred for events that happened at them.  Some sacred spaces are places of formal worship by Jews, Christians, Muslims, Native Peoples or other religious groups.  We will also visit some country churches that are a short distance from population centers.  These country churches are the nucleus and beacon of rural America.

Dave will be your guide on numerous Florida trips that will be an educational experience that explores the history, geography, architecture, and cultures in a fun and interesting way.

Born and raised in Saint Paul Minnesota, Dave graduated from St. Cloud State University with a teaching degree in history and social studies. He taught junior high and high school history and was an administrator in the Saint Paul Public School system for 38 years.

He developed a tour program for adults starting in 1981 and has done hundreds of day trips and many overnight trips covering every state in the United States. Dave has also led 17 trips to Europe and additional trips to Asia and the Caribbean including Cuba.

On the day of your trip we have several Pick-Up Locations throughout Manatee, Sarasota & Charlotte Counties for you to drive to and park your car.  We will pick you up at one of these locations and drop you back off there when your tour has ended. You can pick the location that is most convenient for you.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off times Vary based on your destination and we will give you those times when you call to book your fun All Around tour!
