Dakin Dairy Farm

The Dakin Dairy Farm tour is one of the most unique activities in our 3 county area. The farm is a 3rd generation family owned and operated dairy farm that has been a vital part of the Manatee County community for over two decades and they have been milking cows since 1973!
The Dakin family takes pride in their sustainable farming practices and the fact that they keep the process as organic as possible. They prioritize the diet and the health of their livestock. Fresh grass-fed cows produce larger amounts and more nutritious milk, the way mother nature intended. The diet of grass-fed cows impacts not only the taste, but the nutrients of the milk as well. Dakin Farm strives to create a healthy environment that allows the cows to roam happily.
We all know where milk comes from, but at Dakin you will not only tour the farm, you’ll get a first hand look at how the milk gets from the cow to the bottle. You’ll learn about pasteurization, bottling and cheese making, which is all done right there on the farm. During the tour, you will taste their very own farm fresh chocolate milk and make your own butter. You’ll also get to visit the resident livestock while learning about calves and goats.
After lunch on the farm, you’ll have time to relax at the Dakin Moofé (café) where you can enjoy their locally made ice cream and specialty milk shakes, or shop their many fresh made products to bring home. In addition to their natural milk, they offer half and half, heavy cream, eggnog, cheese curds and a variety of other products as well as souvenirs to take home. This tour is educational as well as entertaining.

On the day of your trip we have several Pick-Up Locations throughout Manatee, Sarasota & Charlotte Counties for you to drive to and park your car. We will pick you up at one of these locations and drop you back off there when your tour has ended. You can pick the location that is most convenient for you.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off times Vary based on your destination and we will give you those times when you call to book your fun All Around tour!
