Spring is certainly in the air! In Florida that means birds and bees and alligator mating season. While it is still an unpredictable time for group travel and we certainly aren’t at full speed; we have had some really great things going on…
First of all we would like to give a big shout out to all of our local youth and high school sports teams! What a trying year it has been for our youth. They key word has been flexibility. Schedules were published but there were so many last minute changes. While these students were working hard to excel at a sport it seemed as though they never really knew where or when they were going to play until they were on the bus. Luckily, we pride ourselves on our service to our community and we were able to roll with it as well but it wasn’t always easy. After everything our society has been through over the last year plus our youth have really demonstrated the ability to improvise, adapt and overcome and that has been a really great thing to witness.
Things are starting to pick up steam in our tour department. Our phones are ringing more and more everyday with guests ready to get out and go somewhere. So where are we going? Right now our team members in that department are working hard to figure that out. We do have some trips offered but we need a lot more. Venues are slowly starting to open up for group reservations. We are getting creative to put together adventures in the air conditioning as the hot Florida summer is right around the corner. Come fall though we hope to have a very full schedule to offer! So keep your eye on our website as things will be added throughout the summer. Don’t wait and miss out on your favorite trip!
You might have seen on social media that Adam, Jamie and Paige just returned from the United Motorcoach Association national expo held in Orlando this year. The downtime created this past year has allowed us to get more involved with our industry as a whole. Through zoom meetings, legislation updates and virtual conferences our industry has really come together to get through these unprecedented times to support one another. We are finding our new involvement invaluable and were thrilled to meet so many of our friends and contacts in person and not just over the computer.
