Join us at the 51st Annual Fall Arts & Crafts Festival under the old oak trees in Micanopy!
Micanopy is the town that time forgot and the perfect setting for a Fall Arts & Crafts Festival! This quiet little town bustles with activity as artist, crafters and musicians from all around fill the main street lined with Antiques. Along with the two hundred displays of arts and crafts there are many other attractions to enjoy during the festival. The main stage plays host to a variety of good time music throughout the festival and an old time auction of items donated by participating vendors on Saturday afternoon.
This quaint town lies twelve miles south of Gainesville and The University of Florida. It was first established in 1821 as a trading post by Edward M. Wanton for the settlers of the Arrendondo Grant. Named after a Seminole chief, the town was witness to Indian wars, army posts, and the beginnings of a new frontier. With agricultural prosperity Micanopy grew to become a community of fine homes, schools, and a popular tourist destination.
Micanopy maintains the small town atmosphere as evident by the involvement of the local citizenry. Along with the many homes being restored, the town boasts an array of historic landmarks, the Micanopy Historical Society Museum, and a variety of shops including art, used books, antiques, & casual eateries.

On the day of your trip we have several Pick-Up Locations throughout Manatee, Sarasota & Charlotte Counties for you to drive to and park your car. We will pick you up at one of these locations and drop you back off there when your tour has ended. You can pick the location that is most convenient for you.
